Aquí os dejo el comentario que acaba de hacer Dale, ¿qué os parece?


"Well it looks like my comments on the Culture Map article have started a bit of a S*&# storm. Let me add focus. I'm not concerned with what Nashville or any of their " acts" do, their "Award" shows and most importantly their music. They exist and I thought I was done even acknowledging it. It was my mistake to bring up an old argument I used back when I was fighting for the term "Country".
That said, I am trying to focus on the positive. The bands doing " Ameripolitan" music, Honky Tonk, Outlaw, Western Swing and Rockabilly. Accentuate the positive. No more F%$# Nashville.
It'd be great if everyone who believes in this cause would not engage in the confrontation that some commentators on the share Culture Map blog are trying to start. They are defending what means something to them so let's let it go. I should not have brought it up , even though in the days before Ameripolitan it did matter. Now it doesn't. Let's focus. Live and let live and let's champion this genre to the worldwide recognition. Thanks for reading, and feel free to share.

Watson ha sido un activista y un contestatario a la situación actual de lo que se llama Country desde hace muchos años.

Me encantan los párrafos:

"One of my main complaints about Nashville music … is whenever you hear interviews with [those] guys — you know, like Rascal Flatts or somebody like that — they say their influences are George Jones and Merle Haggard. And that’s a flat-out lie," Watson says.

"I’m just saying, if you’re going to state your influences, be honest with yourself. You listen to Boyz II Men, you don’t listen to Merle."


Porque es exactamente lo que pienso, que hagan la música que quieran, pero por lo menos que no engañen. Es imposible que teniendo a Merle Haggard como referencia se pueda parir eso.

Pues sí, toda la razón, yo pienso lo mismo... si quieren hacer esa música que la hagan pero que no la llamen igual x mucho que se venda... este hombre cada día me gusta más... me encanta que diga las cosas como son, x eso me gusta y por su voz y...

... y ya que andaba por aquí, Felicidades para DW xq hoy es su cumple, 51 estupendos años!!
