John Prine fue un cantante y compositor estadounidense nacido en Maywood, Illinois, en 1946.

Biografía de John Prine

Trabajó como cartero y escribió canciones durante sus recorridos. Kris Kristofferson ayudó a presentar su trabajo y su primer álbum apareció en 1971.

Canciones como Sam Stone, Hello in There y Angel from Montgomery mostraron su capacidad para narrar vidas corrientes con humor y precisión. En 1981 fundó el sello Oh Boy Records.

Prine superó dos cánceres y continuó grabando y actuando. Su último álbum, The Tree of Forgiveness, apareció en 2018. Murió en 2020 por complicaciones de la COVID-19.
